I apologise Porteous
published: Tuesday | March 30, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

WITH REFERENCE to the letter from Minister of State Harry Douglas in Friday's Gleaner, pertaining to my reference to a lack of a plan for Mandeville's Greater Water Supply, please note that I unreservedly apologise to the Minister if he thinks that I misrepresented what he had said. It was not my intention to mislead or to misguide the public in any way.

Minister Douglas has graciously consented to come to the full Parish Council meeting in Mandeville to be held on April 8, 2004, at which time we look forward to hearing his plans for Manchester's water woes.

I am, etc.,

SALLY PORTEOUS,

Deputy Mayor of Mandeville
