Millicent Bernard
published: Monday | April 5, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I AM writing this letter to thank Millicent Bernard, The Head of Literacy Department at the Christ The Redeemer Human Resource Centre in Seaview Gardens. Ms. Bernard has produced many outstanding passes, sending her students to notable technical/high schools in Kingston.

Seaview Gardens has always been featured under negative circumstances, however Ms. Bernard, 'a candle in the darkness', has been living in this community for over 20 years of her life, working as a social worker, mother, and community friend.

Ms. Bernard is dedicated to her students and enjoys working to promote literacy to adults and students alike. Thank you 'Millie'.

I am, etc.,
