King Lara has done it again!

THE EDITOR, Sir:

BRIAN LARA has done it again! Hallelujah! What a saviour! Congratulations, Lara for saving the West Indies cricket team.

My concern though is, where was Brian Lara when the ship was sinking? Was he asleep like Jonah? Critics are hard on the back of Mrs. Portia Simpson Miller that she pulled a trump card. However, nobody can see that it was Lara who really pulled a trump card and a well calculated one at that.

After all, when the West Indies Cricket Board starts to 'drop' players, 'star boy' Lara will always be on. Rather interesting, isn't it? He couldn't motivate the team as its captain. However, he was not short on gaining stardom for himself. Team effort was definitely lacking.

It would be quite interesting to hear the comments of his colleagues "off record". There is much more to a situation than that which meets the eyes.
