Melville Cooke, 'keep shaking the tree'
published: Wednesday | April 21, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

MOST COMMENTATORS, especially socially inclined ones, frequently sidesteps the issues that are in dire need of attention. I have found Mr. Melville Cooke to be a refreshing breeze that has stirred the socially acceptable status on issues that no one else has the bravado to address. From such issues as race (debate with Dawn Ritch) to 'date rape', to when a woman says 'no', is it to be interpreted as 'yes'.

Well, Mr. Cooke, you have simply caused a stir and I personally hope you may continue such that this little breeze will become a full-fledged 'hurricane' in addressing these blatantly unjust issues.

I cannot wait for Thursdays to see what you may have to say about some 'acceptable' behaviour but which is absolutely abhorrent.

Keep shaking the tree, it will certainly drop its fruits.

I am, etc.,
