Dangerous trend
published: Wednesday | April 21, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

AS A regular commuter on the JUTC buses, I have noticed a dangerous trend which I need to address using this medium. This is the vandalisation of the vehicles by way of "marking" on the interior of the buses using "markers" and even spray paint. From all indications, this is done by high school students who have left traces of evidence with the initials of their schools or otherwise.

I would just want to advise students to keep the buses clean. How would you feel if you had a vehicle and someone "marked" on it? Would you mark on your own vehicle or your parents? Students, the buses belong to us. We can't afford to vandalise them because it will cost us dearly. The bus is yours, please keep it clean.

I am, etc.,

JASMINE DENNIS
