THERE'S SOMETHING a little bit gaudy about Kensington Market. On a recent Saturday afternoon, for example, a pink-haired, cross-dressing clown outfitted in every blinding colour of the rainbow, mugs for the camera in front of a thrift shop.


One disaster, two delights
HAVE YOU ever taken the time to walk through Island Life Shopping Centre, New Kingston, before or after going to the movies at Island Cinema? I did and was pleasantly surprised.
