Rethink the decision

THE EDITOR, Sir:

ARE THESE Government Ministers going crazy? Do they really think Jamaica has so much more to offer that the other Caribbean countries don't have, that they think tourists are going to pay more to come to Jamaica?

I think with the competition for the tourist dollar they should rethink this decision. As it is now, the departure tax is one of the highest in the region, so with an added tax, I for one, a Jamaican by birth, have to really think about coming to Jamaica.
