Jetsetters take on Hampshire in final
published: Saturday | May 8, 2004

THE SUPREME Ventures Division C Netball League comes to its climax today when Hampshire B take on Jetsetters C in the final at the Leila Robinson courts at 4:00 p.m.

In the third and fourth place play-off, slated to start at 3:00 p.m., New Kingston Raiders go up against Eden Strikers B.

Hampshire have the advantage of having beaten Jetsetters in the preliminary round where they topped a zone including the historically dominant Jetsetters team.

That performance has prompted their coach, Robert White, to keep his team unchanged.

"There will be no changes, we'll just continue to play basic netball, utilising our fitness level and accuracy of passes," White said.

Boasting three national representatives, White's bunch will prove formidable opponents for the Jetsetters team. The strength of their team doesn't bother Jetsetters coach C. Lloyd Walker, who is used to winning titles against impressive teams.

"I never worry about the talent of the opposition because netball is about victories on the day and when players are dominant all you have to do is avoid them, they can't be everywhere on the court," Walker said.
