Ten JCDC Popular Song Contest finalists selected

THE REFRESHED, reformed and renewed JCDC Popular Song Contest has singled out its 10 finalists, from more than 100 entrants.

The organisers chose the ten tunes following two semi-finals, one on April 29 and the other on May 5. A winner will be chosen by internal judging and by public voting after a series of promotional activities.

The following are the finalists and their producers.

1. Spirit Of A Sufferer, performed by Donald 'Iceman' Anderson and produced by Sylvester 'Syl' Gordon of Strong Production.

2. Economic Revolution, performed by Desmond Boyd and produced by Michael 'Mickey' Bennett of Grafton Studios.

3. Tax Man, performed by Anthony B and produced by Kevin Blake.

4. If Only I Know, performed by Romeo Jae and produced by Danga Zone.

5. Sunshine, performed by J. Lee (John L. Walker) and produced by Joshua Rechani.

6. Ole Time Jamaica, performed by last year's winner Stefan Pennincilin (Stavan Whyte) and produced by Augustus 'Gussie' Clarke of Anchor Media.

7. Bless Our Souls Jah, performed by Phillip Watkis produced by Michael 'Mickey' Bennett of Grafton Studio.

8. Work Harder, performed by Stretch (Jermaine Johnson) produced by Jack Scorpio/Music Johnson of Black Scorpio Studio.

9. The Sweetest, performed by Sugar Slick (Roland Kennedy) produced by Diavallan Fearon.

10. World In Trouble, performed by Besenta (Bryden Wilkins) and produced by Paul 'Computer Paul' Henton of Bootcamp Production.
