Portia showing affection in public

THE EDITOR, Sir:

That article done by your journalist Claude Mills on Hon. Portia Simpson Miller was very distasteful. What is wrong with showing affection in public? Mrs. Simpson Miller is an affectionate and confident woman, hence in greeting she is not afraid to hug or kiss a person. It shows her warmth and love for people. Is there a problem with that?

I never saw any pictures in that article with her hugging any woman or child all the pictures were with men. What was Claude Mills trying to say?
