CRIME ROUNDUP - Taxi operator's body found

THE BODY of Calrayne Napier, 37, nicknamed 'Poison Dog', taxi operator of Torrington Park Way, Spanish Town, St. Catherine, was found with stab wounds at Job Lane, Spanish Town on Saturday.

The CCN's St. Catherine North Liaison Officer said that about 11 a.m., citizens saw a body in bushes on a canal bank on Job's Lane and called the police. On investigation Napier's body was found with several stab wounds. It was removed to the morgue for autopsy.

His Toyota Corolla car was found close by.

The Spanish Town CIB, which is investigating, has not yet established a motive for the killing.

Man fatally stabbed

One man is dead and another in police custody following a dispute at Sherwood Content, Trelawny, on Saturday.

The dead man has been identified as Devon Taylor of Flankers, St. James; in police custody is Damion Nembhard, 20, of Sherwood Content.

The CCN's Liaison Officer for Trelawny said that about 3 p.m. both men had a dispute and Taylor was stabbed with a knife. He was taken to the Falmouth Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Clark's Town police are investigating.

Man killed in crash

A resident of Sydenham, near Spanish Town, St. Catherine was killed after the vehicle he was driving collided with a trailer in the Bog Walk gorge in the parish on Saturday.

He was identified as Daniel Fletcher, 39.

The CCN's Liaison Officer for St. Catherine North said that about 3 p.m., Mr. Fletcher was driving an Isuzu Trooper along the Bog Walk gorge. He attempted to overtake a minibus and collided with a trailer. He suffered injuries and died at the scene.

The Bog Walk police are investigating.
