JUTC drivers' poor conduct
published: Thursday | May 27, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WOULD like to know why the JUTC buses which drive by Jamaica College refuse to drive in the bus bay and instead stop at the stoplight and delay traffic. And, also, why they choose to encourage the students to cross in front of the bus when the oncoming traffic cannot see them until they are already in the road.

This is a serious accident waiting to happen. The drivers need to understand that when they have pulled off the road, they can't be summoning oncoming vehicles to stop and let the students cross because they are not a part of the flow of traffic.

Would the relevant authority at the JUTC please advise your drivers on this matter.

I am, etc.,

COLENE PITTER-

MIGNOTT
