Five ...to know she's bored with you
published: Monday | May 31, 2004

YOU THINK everything is going fine with your woman, but lately she's been making excuses as to why she can't see you, or when you're together she keeps yawning and looking at her watch. Could be that's she's bored with you. Here are five red flags that she may not be feeling it anymore.

1. Busy signals

She starts finding new excuses for being away from you. She resorts to spending more time with relatives, girlfriends or at work. Your attempts are often met with excuses that she's too busy or tired. Plus, your calls are often met with busy signals on her cell phone, or curt, nonchalant responses when you do get through. While you do need to allow her space to deal with other areas of her life, if she suddenly seems evasive and disinterested, it could be the signal of death for your relationship.

2. You annoy her

The slightest and most trivial act on your part annoys her and sets her on edge. You soon start feeling like the "enemy" in your relationship. You try taking softer approaches in communicating with her, but to no avail. From that you can deduce the first sign that she's not feeling you anymore.

3. Melt down in the bedroom

What used to be a fiery and adventurous sex life starts to become dull and uninspiring. Her body is there but you feel that she's not really there. You up your bedroom gymnastics, but this seems to do more harm than good. And you know you're done for when she keeps asking, "Are you done yet?"

4. Silent treatment

She rarely confides in you anymore. Plus, she suddenly prefers reading -- anything -- than talking with you. Watch out for this one, when she stops sharing or clams up on you, it's a sure sign that all's not well.

5. Nit-picking

Oh boy, you're in for it. From a deafening silence to loud fights. This is just a way of releasing repressed resentments she has been harbouring. From there she moves to another battlefront -- sarcasm and constant fault-finding. This further irritates you and drives both of you even further a part. It can be the kiss of death.
