THE EDITOR, Sir:

I READ with interest, Senator Whiteman's recommendation for representation of overseas Jamaicans in our Upper House. While I can see where the sentiment for this is coming from, I would have no problem with this if these overseas Jamaicans declare their incomes in Jamaica and pay Jamaican income taxes, as do U.S. citizens who are overseas and who declare and pay their income taxes into America.
