The sign and the police
published: Monday | May 31, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE NO Right Turn sign on Kingsway has always been a major headache but one morning last week it delivered it's ultimate blow. I came from New Kingston, turned left onto Kingsway and a policeman stopped me and accused me of breaking the sign. Naturally I denied it as I absolutely did not but he still charged me. I even had an eyewitness!

Now I would like to know what I am supposed to do. I cannot access Kingsway by making a right turn because of the sign and now I cannot access it making a left turn because of police!

Would somebody who put the sign there please tell me how I am supposed to access Kingsway without fear of prosecution?

I am, etc.,
