New P.O. excellent , but!

THE EDITOR, Sir:
ON BEHALF of our senior citizens I commend the postal authorities on the new Liguanea P.O. which is located at the rear end of a shopping mall and is the furthest unit from the main road!
On the day I went to this post office I was directed to access it via a flight of stairs and a long corridor floored with highly glazed tiles.
Apparently no consideration was taken when establishing this post office that senior citizens have to frequently use it to collect their meagre NIS and Government pensions and remittances from abroad.
The site where this post office is located was originally a post office so why was the new post office not given pride of place at the front of the shopping mall near the main road, which would have made it more accessible to senior citizens and the public at large?
