Dangerous traffic hazard
published: Tuesday | June 8, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WOULD like to direct the KSAC to investigate the serious, dangerous traffic hazard that exists on West King's House Road/Kingsway in the vicinity of the Canadian High Commission. Monday through Friday, the 'visa seekers' along with numerous taxicabs, create a nuisance on the 'public' road for residents and road users.

I was informed by the Traffic Enforcement Department that the tow trucks do not go out on the road that early! I recommend that the KSAC could make a substantial fortune towards their 'budget' by getting the tow trucks out there between 7:00-9:00 a.m.

I honestly do not think Jamaicans would be allowed to create such havoc in Canada. While we appreciate having these diplomats here in our country, intelligence on the location of embassies and high commissions in the Corporate Area should be given more serious and thoughtful consideration.

I am, etc.,
