INJURED REGGAE Boyz Ian Goodison, Ricardo Gardner, Ricardo Fuller and Fabian Taylor are yet to participate in team games at Jamaica's practice sessions, since the team resumed training here on Tuesday.
Three of the four in Taylor, Goodison and Gardner did some jogging at yesterday's evening session at Sabina Park, while Fuller enjoyed his third consecutive day-off.
On Tuesday, technical director Carl Brown said the players' non participation in that day's training session was due to advice from the team's physiotherapist to allow them an extra day's rest.
Brown said the type of workout done by Gardner, Taylor and Goodison and Fuller's inactivity was recommended by the doctor.
"The doctors again asked those players, Ricardo Fuller, Ricardo Gardner, Ian Goodison, two of the three to do some jogging today. Ricardo Fuller took another day off but he will be starting his work tomorrow. It is very hopeful that he will be ready for Sunday," Brown said before adding that "Taylor is also touch and go".
Meanwhile, Omar Daley, the man who scored Jamaica's second goal against Haiti in their 3-0 win at the National Stadium last year, joined the squad along with Portmore United defender Tyrone Sawyers. However, Brown was reluctant to say whether they were brought in as cover for injured players.
HINT
The technical director might have given a hint though of the composition of the team for Sunday's game with the teams he selected for an inter-squad game. Damani Ralph and Marlon King played together as strikers, while Richard Langley played in the midfield with attacking players Andy Williams and Jermaine Johnson on the First Team.
The Second Team comprised Daley and Deon Burton as strikers, while Theodore Whitmore shared the midfield roles with Fabian Davis and Cornel Chin-Sue.
While being reluctant to confirm The Gleaner's speculation that the First Team combination involves the likely attacking starters, Brown said "It will be something like that".
He added: "We will be changing the composition of the midfield."
