Crackdown on illegal garages

THE EDITOR, Sir:

WITH REFERENCE to the article in the Gleaner (08/06/04) re the KSAC crackdown on illegal garages, I must say that it is an exceptionally wise idea to begin such a venture to help with the appearance of the nation's capital.

I would like to encourage the KSAC to extend this attempt to free us from the decrepit appearance of crashed cars, stripped cars, rusting cars and old buses that adorn the streets of Kingston as if they were being advertised for sale.
