Just an idea...
published: Sunday | June 20, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THIS IS just an idea. The National Water Commission could consider improving the Mandeville potable water supply by acquiring and installing a set of metal steel-studded water tanks similar to the tanks at Water Works in St. Andrew at the top of Spur Tree Hill.

The Pepper District pumps, equipped with automatic switches, would pump water to these tanks on the hill as the tanks are filled, the pumps trip-out until the water in the tanks fall to a determined level, when they will then trip-in and start pumping water again.

These water storage tanks could be connected at the beginning of the potable water distribution system in Mandeville.

I am, etc.,

FITZ CASSERLY FCA
