ReidThe Hon. Oliver Clarke O.J., chairman of The Gleaner Company Ltd., announces the appointment of Mr. Colin Reid as managing director of The Voice Group Ltd. and The Gleaner Company (UK) Ltd. with effect from July 1, 2004.
Mr. Reid was born in Jamaica and educated at Jamaica College and City of London University. He has a BA (Hons) in accountancy and is a chartered member of the Institute of Taxation.
He has been a partner in Leroy Reid & Co chartered accountants for the past 14 years and also sits on the board of directors of London Action Trust and Securisys Ltd. He is a Rent Warden of the Company of Tax Advisers.
As an avid polo player,
he is a member of Guards Polo Club and Ham Polo Club.
He is also a member of the Travellers Club in the UK and Liguanea Club in Jamaica.
He is engaged to Miss Amanda Osborne and in his spare time, plays tennis and enjoys reading.
