Port Authority posts $3 billion in earnings
DURING FISCAL year 2003/04 the Port Authority of Jamaica, headed by Noel Hylton, earned $3.2 billion, reflecting a 20 per cent increase in revenue in relation to the previous fiscal year.

Fears over customs backlog
CUSTOMS BROKERS are predicting that the decision by the Jamaica Customs to phase out the C79 import entry form and replace it with the C78x will lead to a backlog in the clearing of goods at the ports.


Exporters score big for Ja
JAMAICA EARNED US$115 million from its top 20 exporters last year or just under 40 per cent of total non-traditional exports, excluding freezone exports of garments, said Dr. Andre Gordon, president of the Jamaica Exporters Association (JEA).
