Letter of the day - Nicole Webb deserves better treatment
THE EDITOR, Sir: I READ Dawn Ritch's article on page A9 of The Sunday Gleaner of June 20 entitled, 'A Government without pity' and I was reduced to tears. Yes I literally cried. I implore everyone who has not yet read this article, to please do so.

Special thanks and appreciation
THE EDITOR, Sir: LET ME use this medium to express my thanks and appreciation to the hard working team in the mosquito eradication unit of the Ministry of Health for their quick response and professionalism displayed on the job.

Blown away by kind words
THE EDITOR, Sir: THE MOST remarkable welcome anyone could have from a total stranger was given to our beautiful island via yours truly.

Welcome home deportees
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM sure that all those who are clamouring for our brothers and sister deportees not to be received seem not to recall that our first national hero the Honourable Marcus Mosiah Ggarvey was deported from the United States in 1927.

KSAC and illegal garages
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM writing regarding the matter of the KSAC and illegal garages. I operate a garage; as a woman in the business it is hard at times.

Turf war between NWA and KSAC.
THE EDITOR, Sir: I WRITE relating to your story on page three in your edition of Thursday last, pertaining to the alleged removal of signs by the NWA which had supposedly been erected with the prior knowledge and approval of the KSAC.

Basic schools getting equipped
THE EDITOR, Sir: ON THURSDAY, July 17, 2004 the Senator Norman Horne Foundation, under the theme, 'Technology for all', launched the first segment of a number of monumental projects for South East St. Elizabeth.

Mega Mart music a turn-off
THE EDITOR, Sir: I WISH to fully support the complaint made by a writer to your newspaper last Friday, complaining about the noise from sound systems along Red Hills Road.

Medical hospitals too far away
THE EDITOR, Sir: THE ROADBLOCK protest in Annotto Bay came about because of the rumour that the hospital in Annotto Bay will be closed down.

Tax system needs improvement
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM the owner of an Apartment in New Kingston. I have not received a tax advisory stating the amount of property taxes owing for 2004.
