JESSICA OGDEN was born and raised in Jamaica, attended the Rhode Island School of Design in America and graduated from the Byam Shaw School of Art in London.
Her career in clothing started in 1992 as a volunteer for Oxfam's NoLoGo, turning old, charity shop finds into new garments. Jessica's fascination with old and distressed fabrics has been a continuing theme in all the collections since the launch of her own label in 1993.
Jessica uses layering, hand-painting and stitching techniques to create modern forms. She is regarded by i-D Magazine as one of the 150 most influential designers in the world.
Here are a few of her designs shown on Caribbean Fashionweek 2004.
