E-mailing utility bills
published: Thursday | June 24, 2004

THE EDITOR: Sir

MAY I use your medium to request that the public utility companies National Water Commission, Jamaica Public Service, Cable & Wireless/ Digicel investigate the possibility of sending out their utility bills by e-mail. This could result in some cost-savings to them, reduction in the amount of paper and also my receiving my bills on time.

Although I know that everyone will not use this facility. I know there are sufficient number of us who would, resulting in the companies saving some money which, I am sure, they would be happy to pass on to us.

The banks and financial institutions should also investigate this as some of us are overwhelmed by the paper each month.

I am, etc.,

DANVILLE WALKER, J.P.

Director of Elections
