So few married couples
published: Friday | June 25, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I HAVE been to Jamaica many times and I am amazed at the number of women with children but no husbands. In the seven times that I have visited Negril I have met very few married couples. I don't understand why marriage is not more respected.

I just read a letter in the Gleaner stating that a man was upset that the mother of his children did not wish him happy Father's Day. My question is, do you do your part as a father? If so then I wish you happy Father's Day.

I am, etc.,
