In response to Valerie Walters
published: Saturday | July 3, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WRITE in response to a letter published on June 29, 2004 in your publication from Valerie Walters of Annotto Bay.

This matter is already being actively pursued by Councillor Hugh Bryan of the Annotto Bay Division and the St. Mary Parish Council.

A site tour and estimate was done and the Superintendent of Works, Mr. Earl Dawkins has already submitted the request for funding from the Ministry of Local Government.

Miss Walters, a recently defeated Councillor in the Castleton Division, knows the system and should use her good office and influence in having the Minister in charge of Water and Member of Parliament for South East St. Mary, Harry Douglas, release some of his unused SESP funds, to have the tank repaired until we receive the necessary money from the Ministry.

I am, etc.,

ROBERT MONTAGUE

Chairman

St. Mary Parish Council
