Will someone please talk to the 'windscreen cleaners'?
published: Wednesday | July 14, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I AM outraged at the behaviour of some of the 'windscreen cleaners' who frequent the stoplights at the major intersections in Kingston.

Their usual approach of demanding to clean your windshield if not met, results in expletives, harassment, attempts at opening your car door and even battering your vehicle.

As a female driver I feel threatened by their actions and powerless in my defence. Could the relevant authorities address this problem before the level of harassment gets out of control?

I am, etc.,
