MEMBERS OF the public are being advised that a number of roads in downtown Kingston will be closed between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. tomorrow. This is being done to facilitate the State Funeral of former Prime Minister Hugh Shearer.

The Police Traffic Division has informed that on North Street, the roadway between South Camp Road and Duke Street will be closed to members of the public except for those attending the funeral.

Other roads to be closed are:

Central Avenue at South Avenue; Hanover Street at North Street; East Street at Heroes Circle; Charles Street at East Street; Heroes' Circle at Marescaux Road; Heroes' Circle at North Avenue and South Camp Road at George Headley Avenue.

North Street between St. James Square and Duke Street will be operated as a one way from east to west between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

The police will be responsible for directing traffic along the route and motorists are asked to adhere to their directions.

Jamaica Urban Transit Com-pany (JUTC) buses that normally travel along Church and North streets will be diverted along East Queen Street to South Camp Road and Parade on their outward and inward journeys.

The buses that ply Duke Street/Heroes Circle and Marescaux Road will be diverted for the outward journey to Orange Street, north along Heroes' Circle then onto Marescaux Road and for the return journey, they will travel along Marescaux Road, north on Heroes Circle, west on Heroes Circle then on to King Street and parade.

Buses that normally travel along East Street will be re-routed to Marescaux Road, north along Heroes Circle, west on Heroes Circle, then on to King Street and Parade.
