SHEARER BURIED - Nation bids farewell to a stalwart leader
FORMER PRIME Minister Hugh Lawson Shearer was yesterday laid to rest after a near four-hour state funeral marked by numerous tributes and pomp and pageantry befitting his memory.

Overcome with grief
LUCILLE BENNETT, 78, housekeeper of former Prime Minister Hugh Lawson Shearer for 39 years, could not handle the grief yesterday as she watched the casket with his body lowered into the vault at the National Heroes Park, central Kingston.
