Polite and efficient
published: Friday | July 23, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

ON MY recent visit to Jamaica I found the staff at the airport were quite polite and efficient, contrary to what I have heard and experienced before. I would like to give credit where it is due.

Also at the JFK airport in New York we have to pay US$3 for a cart just to put our luggage on. I think Jamaica could charge even $1. It would be a little help to the economy, and returning residents from the United States should not complain, because they just had to pay much more.

I am, etc.,

J. ELAINE MCDONALD

Bronx, New York
