Poor example by PNP youth
published: Friday | July 23, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

SATURDAY, JULY 17, 2004, was a day set aside by my family and friends to relax and take some time out at the beach. Well, this was almost short-lived when we experienced a close call from two Toyota Hiace buses and a black motor car transporting the Youth Arm of the People's National Party.

This was rather disturbing and I would say not very good PR for the group who I am sure are looking for continued support. I am calling on the people of Jamaica to return to the spirit of brotherly love and care. If we are going to be a strong nation we need to protect those around us.

I could have lost my two-year-old nephew and my friend's three-year-old daughter who where sitting in the back.

Let's start to take stock of the impact of our actions on the society, on the community, on the families around us and on our island, Jamaica Land We Love.

I am, etc.,

STEPHEN PEART
