ALL IS set for the second staging of the Westmoreland Seafood Jamboree scheduled for Sunday, at the New Hope Primary and Junior High in Whitehouse, Westmoreland.

Inaugurated last year, the jamboree is the major fund-raising event for the 4-H clubs in the parish.

The event, which begins at 10:00 am, will give patrons the opportunity to enjoy seafood prepared in various styles.

The offering will include curried, jerk and stewed conch, steam and roast fish, lobster and other seafood.

Owen Sinclair, Custos Rotu-lorum for Westmoreland who is the patron for the jamboree, will declare the event open at 2:00 p.m.

Dubbed as a family event, entertainment will be provided by To-Isis, SANE Band, Singing Hanna, Hertford Cultural Group among others.

There will also be the staging of Mr. and Miss Seafood Jamboree 2004.

"We saw almost three thousand patrons last year and we are expecting many more this year," Westmoreland 4-H Parish Development Officer, Hyline Grant said.

Recently, the Westmoreland 4-H clubs copped the prizes for "Most Creative Performance", "Best Display" and the overall winner in the Junior Category of the Jamaica 4-H Clubs' Environmental Challenge Competition .
