An apology to John Maxwell
published: Monday | August 2, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE BUREAU of Standards would like to use this medium to express our apologies to Mr. John A. Maxwell for the inconvenience caused by the inadvertent publication of his telephone number in recent advertisements for our Summer Science Camp.

We acknowledge that an error was made and take full responsibility for the inconvenience to Mr. Maxwell and also to persons who experienced difficulties registering their children for the camp.

The Bureau of Standards always strives to operate at a level which is consistent with high standards. As a consequence, the management of the Bureau having carried out a full investigation into the matter, has put corrective measures in place to prevent a recurrence of this faux pas.

I am, etc.,

GLADSTONE ROSE

Acting Executive Director

Bureau of Standards Jamaica
