A NEW handbook on pig production and management was launched at the annual general meeting of the Jamaica Pig Farmers' Association last week Thursday at the Denbigh showground in May Pen, Clarendon.
The handbook dubbed 'Husbandry Tips for Caribbean Pig Farms' by Claude Wilson, is aimed at improving farm practices through standard husbandry and management applications.
Dr. Aston S. Wood, member of the Agribusiness Council of Jamaica, in the preface, said the book was "timely and insightful" and that it was an "invaluable user friendly manual for anyone engaged in pig production".
