House in St Mary destroyed by fire

FIRE DESTROYED a five apartment house at Hassizula Lane, Annotto Bay St. Mary on Thursday evening; fortunately no one was injured.

Reports reaching The Gleaner are that around 1:45 p.m. fire was seen coming from sections of the house. The Fire Department was summoned to the scene and two units from the Annotto Bay Fire Station responded and extinguished the blaze.

The five bedroom house, occupied by four people, was burnt to the ground. Nothing was saved as the occupants were not at home at the time of the blaze.
