What is your response to the claim that beauty contests are superficial?

It's not all about external beauty. In the competition emphasis is placed on intelligence, grooming, social skills, stage presentation awareness and overall on personal development. The contest itself is geared towards the personal development of its contestants.

What, in your opinion, is your best quality?

My optimism and the fact that I'm observant. It has made me perceptive and analytical.

How does being in the competition affect your career goals and how will it affect them if you win?

It's helping me to be... When I go in a career I'll be better groomed. I would get more exposure. I want to be a dermatologist.

What do you think of the addition of the talent, sports and beach beauty mini-competitions to the pageant?

I think its a fabulous idea. As people will claim that its all about external beauty, it gives people a chance to see that there are other sections of the pageant that the girls are about to do. It showcases other areas such as talent and being physically fit, which stretches the point that it's about personal development.

Which of the mini-competitions would you stand the best chance of winning?

I don't compete, I'm just having fun in the competition. I have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity...

Name three must-haves

A quality education, get married and a happy life. I must be happy.

Why should you win the title of Miss Jamaica World?

I'm a patriot at heart, a true all-Jamaican girl. I'll represent Jamaica with authenticity and enthusiasm.
