Three family members
published: Friday | September 3, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I'M TRYING to locate detailed information on three of my family members from the island of Jamaica in the British West Indies. I am in the process of compiling my family's history for our family reunion. I was hoping you would share any information, you may have on the following people, or direct me to other possible resources that could assist me in my search.

George Cooper, "half-brother of Prince Charles II... appointed overseer of Jamaica around 1790".

Nanny Mowatt, "a Chief-tainess of Nanny Town in the Blue Mountains... in the early 18th century".

John Harrison, "...became the first head of the Constabulary Force... after 1884... legal structure was reformed... and a Constabulary Force was established.

I am, etc.,

DELENA HARRISON
