THE REMAINING pieces of art belonging to the defunct Eagle Financial Network will finally be auctioned off at the Hilton Hotel, New Kingston on September 22.

Viewing will start at 3:00 p.m. followed by the sale at 6:30 p.m. The pieces, which are, arguably, some of the best in the Jamaica, will be placed on the auction block by the leading art auctioneers in Jamaica, D.C Tavares & Finson Reality Limited which were also responsible for the first auction held in 1999 and grossed close to $12,000,000. However, since then the determination of what other pieces could be sold had been in some dispute over ownership, according to William Tavares Finson.

The Financial Institution Services (FIS) is responsible for instructing this second auction of the Eagle collection, along with pieces from the former Don Crawford-owned Century National Bank. A few private entries which will also be up for sale.

There will be more than 120 lots with a special section displaying Edna Manley sculptures. Some of the other artists to be included in the auction are Carl Abrahams, Albert Huie, Bar-rington Watson, Osmond Watson, Kapo and Karl Par-boosingh.

It is hoped that this sale will be as financially substantial as the first.
