MOST, IF not all, of this weekend's sporting activities have been postponed due to Hurricane Ivan.

The Inter-Secondary Schools Association (ISSA) Pepsi/Sports Plus Manning Cup and daCosta Cup opening schoolboy football matches and ceremony and the final of the Capital & Credit Limited-Overs cricket competition between St. Catherine and JDF are among the postponed events.

Defending champions Excelsior and Jamaica College were down to open the Manning Cup competition while the winner's of last year's daCosta Cup competition, Frome, and Rusea's were scheduled to kick off the rural season.

The Business House Netball Association's divisional league matches set for tomorrow have also been cancelled.

Also affected by the hurricane is racing at Caymanas Park tomorrow. The Trench Town Community football league final between Egypt and Crescent at East Road playfield scheduled for yesterday was also called off.
