ERIC GEORGE STULTZ WEDS LISA NICOLE CHEN

LISA NICOLE Chen, daughter of retired business couple Vincent and Gloria Chen, and Eric George Stultz, general manager of Yummy Bakery and son of Marjorie Stultz, became husband and wife on Saturday, September 4. The ceremony, performed by celebrants Frs. Charles Brown and Richard Award, took place at St. Paul of the Cross Cathedral in Mandeville, Manchester.

Guests waited patiently and rehearsed the tunes of the carefully selected love songs under the guidance of cantor Kevin Williams. Selections included This is the Moment and In Your Hands.

Pride and radiance etched the faces of father and daughter as they journeyed up the white carpeted aisle to meet the groom. The bride wore a cream Parisian Chic halter neckline gown with cathedral train and alternate rows of pearls, diamante and beads on the blouse. It was fastened at the back with a row of tiny satin covered buttons. Her upswept coiffeur was cinched with a jewelled tiara from which flowed her veil. She carried a bouquet of blue hydrangea. The groom's brother Leslie Stultz was best man and ring-bearers were Michael and Julian Chen.

Maid of honour Lisa Freeman and bridesmaids/flower girls, Gillian, Alannah, Sarita, Gabrielle and Laura-Ashley Chen, wore shades of sparkling lavender and crepe satin gowns designed by Mandeville's Betty Neil. Looking smart in their dark suits were ushers: Robert, Stefan, Alexander, Jonathan, Nicholas and Matthew Chen.

It was a beautiful wedding mass during which the celebrants reminded the couple of the mystery of love, the importance of communication and the significance of a wedding ceremony that takes place in one day but of a marriage that lasts forever. Family members and friends were exhorted to keep Lisa and Eric constantly in their prayers.

SHADES OF BLUE

The nuptial theme coincided with the Manchester's signature agapanthus (blue) lily and wedding coordinator, Michelle Lee stuck to the bride's favourite shades of blue, (mainly periwinkle), for her decor. Tents were draped in and tables covered with contrasting blue hues producing an electrifying effect when lit. From paper lanterns to silver cone shaped centre pieces and a fireplace backdrop filled with pottery and white orchid sprays - it was magical.

Weddings in the Chen family are children-friendly and the wee ones' had fun making balloon animals, creative craft items, painting pictures and enjoying their candy-filled goodie bags.

Betty Neil and her daughter, Dawn Mitchell, outdid themselves with the wedding cake and food stylists Ciao Bella's sumptuous buffet was enjoyed by all.

Among the guests who shared the joyous occasion were: Wayne and Diana Chen, Michael Lee Chin and Sonya Hamilton, Robert 'Bobby' Chen, Richard and Lisa Chen, Colin Chen, Charles Chen, Jeremy Chen, Jody and Debe Chen, Donovan and Andrea Lewis, Monica Chen (Aunt Monica), Norma Hannah (Aunt Norma), Veda Chuck (Aunt Dolly), Debbie Hannah-Oakley, Sean and Kirk Kong, Melanie and Michael Jakob, Stephen Lyn-Kee-Chow, Craig Weston, Tricia Lee Freeman, Dave and Lori-Ann Lyn, Kevin and Jackie Hendrickson, Yuclen and John Freeman, David Logan, several of the bride's nieces and nephews, Marjorie Stultz, the groom's mother; Betty Narcisse, Darien Lindo, Daphne Johnson, Winnie Lindo, Sonja Allen, Margaret Glave, Olive Watson, Custos Gilbert and wife Georgia Allen, Eric Woodburn, Doreen Stultz, Sam Smith, Perry and Yvonne Stultz, Pura Spence, Dr. Joyce Robinson, Wycliffe and Hazel Bennett, Ted and Cynthia Warmington, Leila Thomas, Leslie and Claire Stultz, Karl and Nell Hendrickson, Claudette Young, Jennifer Newland, Maxine Levy, Edgar Lee and Pat Lee-Tom and Denise Nethersole.
