US churches send more relief supplies
A LARGE white South Winds aircraft from Salt Lake City in the United States with some 3,000 boxes of food and thousands of emergency supplies arrived yesterday in the island to be distributed to persons affected by Hurricane Ivan.

Refills on hold at KFC... for now
FIRST IT was the potable water. Now, the luxury of free soda refills by fast food giants, KFC, is also gone with the wind at least for the time being.


UNICEF joins relief efforts
THE UNITED Nations International Children's Fund (UNICEF), through its Kingston office, has joined the Hurricane Ivan relief effort by donating supplies valued at over J$700,000.


Clean-up on track
THE POST-HURRICANE Ivan clean-up campaign across the island is well under way, and in many areas, close to completion.


Look out for crocodiles
HUMAN BEINGS are not the only ones displaced by Hurricane Ivan. The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) is reporting that crocodiles may be found outside their natural habitats, which are swamps or wetlands...
