LONDON, England, CMC:
WEST INDIES team manager, Tony Howard, expressed delight with his team's performance after their resounding victory over South Africa on Sunday in the ICC Champions Trophy
limited-overs cricket series.
West Indies were comfortable winners over the South Africans and will face the Inzamam-ul-Haq-led Pakistan team tomorrow in the second semi-final of the competition.
"Everybody contributed and I thought the ground fielding was exceptional and the guys bowled well," Howard told CMC Radio Sports yesterday. "Cricket is a team game and I think we demonstrated team cricket."
OPTIMISTIC
Howard was also optimistic about the team's chances against Pakistan.
"Our chances are as good as any and better than many," he said. "We are working hard on the preparation for on the field and off."
Pakistan made it into the final four of the competition after they defeated arch rivals India by three wickets on Sunday.
The other semi-final today will be contested between hosts England and World champions Australia.
