THE EDITOR, Sir:

COMMENDATIONS AND thanks must be expressed to the Gleaner Company and Power 106 FM for keeping the world abreast with current affairs in Jamaica especially during the period of the last hurricane. It was indeed a feat to me to be able to listen to the radio while the storm was going on, to feel a closeness with my homeland and people.

Last, but not least, profound gratitude to Cable and Wireless for making all this possible. These three companies should be given a medal for being stalwarts in a nation of distress. Congratulations!
