RJR: 'Consistently credible'

THE EDITOR, Sir:

MYSELF ALONG with other Jamaicans, I believe, strongly commend the RJR Communications Group for their 'consistently credible' news reports over the weekend September 10 to 12.

While Hurricane Ivan was devastating our island, their team of reporters worked tirelessly through the torrential rain and strong winds, giving hourly reports from parishes across the island. Though they were sometimes hindered due to impassable roadways, they preserved sticking to the job at hand. Jamaicans were updated with reports from shelters, flooded communities along with the slow but sure movement of 'Ivan the Terrible'.

All the best and may we all as Jamaicans follow this example of togetherness and persistence as we begin the task of rebuilding our wonderful island.
