Breese in action at trials

GARETH BREESE is expected to turn out for today's third practice match to help select Jamaica's team for the upcoming regional one-day tournament at Melbourne Oval.

Breese, who led Jamaica in the four-day Carib Beer Series earlier this year, recently returned from a stint with Durham in England.

The all-rounder finished with 685 runs at an average of 28.84 from 14 four-day matches, included one century (165 not out). He also took 28 wickets with his off-spin.

Three more matches will be played before the naming of the squad on October 3. The matches will be played on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

The teams to be picked from: Carlton Baugh, Gareth Breese, Xavier Marshall, Marlon Samuels, Tyson Gordon, Nichardo McFarlane, Alanzo Harris, Nikita Miller, Daren Powell, Dwight Washington, Danza Hyatt, Chadwick Walton, Kevin Kelly, Brenton Parchment, Donovan Pagon, Tamar Lambert, Damion Morgan, Odean Brown, Bevon Brown, Keith Hibbert, Maurice Kepple, Dwight Stewart, Lorenzo Ingram, Shawn Findlay, Maurice Clarke, Krishmar Santokie, Evon McInnis.
