A. J.'s hum-a-long
published: Wednesday | September 29, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I FIND it rather ironic that one of the more rigid judges in the recently ended Rising Stars competition, Mr. A. J. Brown, made a mockery of what should have been a good serenade to the participants in the Miss Jamaica World compassion on Sunday night.

A. J's hum-a-long idea was not only horrible but in poor taste. Those girls deserved better! If he can sing so well, which we all agree he can, why didn't he thrill the beauties by himself without that loud background music? Come on, A.J., do better than that. If you were an entrant in the Rising Stars competition with that rendition I'm sure you would have gotten the boot, with no wildcard hopes.

I am etc.,
