Unstable weather coming - Met Office
published: Thursday | September 30, 2004

THE METEROLOGICAL Service said yesterday that a surface to upper level trough located across the central Caribbean is moving towards the island and should begin to influence weather conditions over Jamaica within the next two to three days.

The associated area of clouds with embedded showers and thunderstorms is approaching Jamaica from the east. These showers and thunderstorms, which may be heavy at times, along with gusty winds, were expected to begin affecting eastern parishes last night and spread to the remainder of the island today.

Fishers and other marine interests should exercise caution as sea conditions will deteriorate in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms due to strong gusty winds.
