Congrats, Tonoya
published: Monday | October 4, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WOULD like to congratulate Miss Tonoya Toyloy on winning the Miss Jamaica World competition for 2004.

Based on the reality of scarcity I obviously would accept the existence of natural competition. However, with consideration of 2 Corinthians 10:12-18 I am led to reject organised competition, for the Messiah is our standard.

Nevertheless, I was quite anxious at the end when I was to hear the winner announced for in colloquial terms 'I had placed my bet on Tonoya' - she was my favourite. I am told that when we bet we should 'bet on a Champion' - I recommended that you continue to bet on Jesus/Yahshua.

I am, etc.,
