BATSMEN WAVELL Hinds and Marlon Samuels were the only players absent from the Jamaica cricket squad's training session at Sabina Park yesterday.

According to the team manager, Maurice Clarke, both players are down with the flu.

"Hinds says he feels a little weak while Marlon is expected back within two days," Clarke said.

Marlon Samuels, who got a one-ball duck in Saturday's sixth and penultimate practice match, went off to the doctor shortly after his knock.

On the field yesterday, all of the other players - Evon McInnis, Daren Powell, David Bernard, Chris Gayle, Danza Hyatt, Xavier Marshall, Carlton Baugh, Gareth Breese, Dwight Washington, Tamar Lambert, Nikita Miller and Brenton Parchment - took part in a match format practice.

The four reserves, Dwight Stewart, Keith Hibbert, who along with Baugh kept wicket, Ryan Cunningham and Odean Brown, were also part of the Robert Haynes-led session.

Lambert, Parchment and Hyatt were also given some batting practice.
